Coaching is effective for people who are seeking support only for a particular focused issue and therapy may be a bit ‘heavy handed’ or just inappropriate. Coaching draws on an entirely different set of principles, but the process of bringing about change is similar.
My coaching approach is based on Psychosynthesis (“soul” psychology) and positive psychology. I work to help on a specific goal, or help you step into the vision of yourself you have. I have worked with people in different industries, such as healthcare, arts, technology, financial services and construction.
Sometimes you need someone in your corner, who will help you overcome the obstacle with useful, authentic-to-you solutions. You may find it beneficial to work with someone to take you through a process of uncovering, actioning or maintaining a solution.
Coaching can help with:
Work issues: it can be advantageous to have an external workplace coach for neutrality and a truly exploratory space to support with issues such as performance, transitions, promotions, sound boarding, stress management, managerial support, managing conflict, and career development;
Personal issues: although these may overlap with the areas mentioned above, coaching can help with issues unrelated to work, such as transitions, direction, stress, and wellness.
People who have worked with me have achieved promotions, career changes, re-designed their life, or have done something they never thought they would be able to do. What you achieve simply by investing a little in yourself may surprise you.
